Honda CB550 four 1977 BHCC 1 (The Menace)
Blackherts Name The Menace
Being bombarded on instagram with people attempting to cafe race CB550’s we had to get our hands on one to make our second build.
Surprisingly we managed to find one quite quickly with a working engine in great condition, but sadly to the classic bike lovers we had it stripped down and on the ramp within a day. Cutting, welding and rewiring we knew this was going to be a fun task.
We added clip on handle bars and a simple little speedometer into the middle keeping space for the electronic start and switches. By doing this it left us with 4 holes in the top yoke where the bolts should go, so we decided to build custom warning lights in to this area to keep simplicity.
Now every nice bike needs a good pair of shoes so we went all out on a pair of firestone deluxe champions. To finish this baby off we went to Hikes upholstery in Hertfordshire, where they design and make seats for triumph, so we knew this would be the final detail.
